She would only take turkey and cheese. Everything else, she left alone. Unfortunately, she never learned to close the door, so mom had to get baby locks.Deannahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09415862516420093392noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5533056.post-27162201007261749882007-11-23T23:39:00.000-05:002007-11-23T23:39:00.000-05:00Glad your Thanksgiving was a happy one! I'd been so deskbound of late that I was fighting this intense desire to just hide from the finally-setting-in fall weather & hibernate 'til Spring...hike today sort of got me over that. Phew.

Plenty of rain up here. Wish I could send some your way.bonniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04794351142636136626noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5533056.post-66687810587085146102007-11-23T13:39:00.000-05:002007-11-23T13:39:00.000-05:00Smithfield Ham. . . .yummy! I had to soak it twice to get some of the salt out of it. Then it took 9 hours to cook: three hours with the stove on, 3 hours with the stove turned off but not opened and then three hours again with the stove on. It was wonderful, melted in you mouth and served with hot mustard. I believe the pig was fed on peanuts. I have tried to get such a Smithfield ham here in Canada without luck.

Just made myself hungry!Tossing Pebbles in the Streamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04354065895900279070noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5533056.post-84433851131956260442007-11-22T19:36:00.000-05:002007-11-22T19:36:00.000-05:00When my boyfriend started cooking the turkey this ...When my boyfriend started cooking the turkey this morning, my cocker spaniel alternated sitting at the edge of the kitchen keeping watch and hopping up on the couch trying to convince me to give her some food (read: turkey).

So I definitely agree with you...and Happy Thanksgiving!Virginia Pickelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04509830479360687369noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5533056.post-84483356550550226132007-11-22T18:19:00.000-05:002007-11-22T18:19:00.000-05:00Turkey and ham are each one of the seven heavenly ...Turkey and ham are each one of the seven heavenly smells and seven heavenly tastes, doncha know- all dogs and cats are born woth this information lazered into their brains.....

Glad you had a good time with the family- we are a mix of the Addams Family and Cold Comfort Farm.....Goat Yodahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06161189045950693399noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5533056.post-44766829523353387272007-11-22T17:10:00.000-05:002007-11-22T17:10:00.000-05:00Happy Thanksgiving! Boy were they groggy the next day! Have a great holiday.Sharonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11329718905298558908noreply@blogger.com
