(Today's Food Porn Friday comes from one of my favorite foodie bloggers, Kazari_lu, all the way from Canberra, Australia. When I think of Australian food, I think of fresh ingredients combined in innovative ways and Kazari certainly shows us how that is accomplished with a personal touch. Her blog is I think I have a recipe for that...)

My husband loves sweet things.

He cycles to work everyday, and makes batches and batches of muffins to sustain him until lunch time. Then he comes home, and wolfs down his dinner. Don't get me wrong, he's a very appreciative audience for my cooking adventures. But if I haven't fed him enough, he'll start mumbling about dessert. He'll raid the grocery money and steal the car keys, and come back with white chocolate chips and a vanilla pod. Or walnuts and chocolate ice cream.

That's how we discovered these cookies.

They don't look very spectacular, but they are possibly the best cookies I've ever tasted. They encourage bad behaviour, like sneaking one out of the jar after breakfast. I know they are bad for me, but I've eaten at least three a day since he made them. They are caramelly, crunchy, nutty and chocolaty, all at the same time.

Definitely worthy of the title of Food Porn.
